Donation Campaigns

FeatsClub provides a built-in donation campaign system that lets your organization raise funds directly from supporters. Whether you are running a targeted fundraiser with a specific dollar goal or accepting ongoing donations with no fixed deadline, FeatsClub gives you the tools to create campaigns, track contributions, and keep your donors informed -- all from your organization dashboard.

What Is a Donation Campaign?

A donation campaign in FeatsClub is a structured way to collect contributions from donors on behalf of your organization. Each campaign has a name, a description (called the appeal), optional media images, and flexible payment configuration. Campaigns live under your organization and appear on your public profile so anyone can contribute.

For example:

  • A school might create an "Annual School Fund Drive" to raise $10,000 for new equipment
  • A youth sports league might run a "Youth Sports Equipment Fund" accepting ongoing donations year-round
  • A nonprofit might launch a "Community Garden Project" fundraiser with a target goal and end date
  • A student group might request a campaign on behalf of their school, pending admin approval

Two Types of Campaigns

FeatsClub supports two distinct campaign types, each designed for different fundraising needs:

Fundraising Campaigns

A fundraising campaign has a specific target amount you are trying to raise. Donors can see how much has been collected and how close the campaign is to reaching its goal. A progress bar on the campaign card shows the percentage raised, creating urgency and motivation for supporters.

Fundraising campaigns are ideal when you have a clear financial goal -- for example, raising $5,000 for new uniforms or $25,000 for a building renovation.

Ongoing Donations

An ongoing donation campaign has no target amount or deadline. It simply accepts contributions indefinitely. Instead of a progress bar, the campaign card shows the total amount collected to date.

Ongoing campaigns work well for general operating funds, recurring support programs, or causes that benefit from sustained giving over time.

Key Concepts

Campaign

The campaign is the fundraiser itself -- the page your donors see and contribute to. It includes a name, appeal description, images, donation amount configuration, and status. Each campaign tracks how much has been collected, how many donations have been received, and who has donated.

Donors

Donors are the people who contribute to your campaigns. FeatsClub tracks unique donors across your campaigns so you can see both the total number of individual donations and the number of unique people who have given.

Updates

Campaign updates are progress messages you can send to your donors. When something noteworthy happens -- you hit a milestone, complete a phase of the project, or want to share how funds are being used -- you post an update. Each update includes a date, the author, and a description.

Goals and Progress

For fundraising campaigns, the target amount is your goal. FeatsClub automatically calculates and displays the percentage raised based on the collected amount versus the target. This progress is visible on both the campaign card and the campaign detail page.

Custom Donation Amounts

Each campaign includes a custom amount configuration that lets you set:

  • A minimum donation amount
  • A maximum donation amount
  • A preset (suggested default) amount
  • Suggested amounts -- quick-select options that make it easy for donors to choose a common amount

Who Can Create Campaigns

Organization Admins

Organization admins and authorized team members can create donation campaigns directly from the dashboard. These campaigns go live (or stay as drafts) based on the admin's preference.

Talent Users (Members and Supporters)

Regular users -- called talent users in FeatsClub -- can also create campaigns on behalf of an organization. When a talent user creates a campaign, it enters a pending approval state. An organization admin must review and approve the campaign before it becomes active. This lets your community champion causes while you maintain control over what appears under your organization's name.

Talent-created campaigns show the creator's name and profile on the campaign, so donors know who initiated the fundraiser.

Campaign Categories

Every campaign can be assigned a category to help organize and communicate its purpose:

  • Education -- School programs, scholarships, academic resources
  • Health -- Medical support, wellness programs, health initiatives
  • Community -- Neighborhood projects, civic improvements, local causes
  • Arts -- Creative programs, performances, art supplies
  • Sports -- Equipment, uniforms, league fees, facility improvements
  • Environment -- Conservation, sustainability, green initiatives

Tax Deductible Donations

Campaigns can be marked as tax deductible if your organization qualifies. When enabled, this information is displayed to donors so they know their contribution may be eligible for a tax deduction.

Payment Processing

FeatsClub supports two payment processors for donation campaigns:

CurrencyProcessorRegion
USD ($)StripeUnited States
INR (Rs.)CashfreeIndia

You can also choose to pass processing fees to the donor, so your organization receives the full donation amount, or absorb the fees yourself.
