Activity Types
FeatsClub supports five activity types that members can submit for review and endorsement. Each type is designed for a different kind of contribution, and each has its own point calculation method.
Volunteering
What it is: Members log volunteer hours for community service, events, causes, or any form of unpaid work that benefits others.
What members submit:
- Date of the volunteering activity
- Duration in hours
- Cause or organization they volunteered for
- Description of work performed
- Optional media (photos, documents)
Points: Auto-calculated at 10 points per hour. The point value is determined by the hours logged -- the org admin does not manually select a point value for volunteering.
| Hours Logged | Points Awarded |
|---|---|
| 1 hour | 10 points |
| 2 hours | 20 points |
| 3 hours | 30 points |
| 5 hours | 50 points |
| 10 hours | 100 points |
Special feature: Volunteering includes an Excel export option, letting org admins download comprehensive volunteering reports as spreadsheets. This is useful for tracking service hours across your organization, generating reports for school requirements, or submitting documentation to external programs.
The Excel export for volunteering is especially helpful for schools and nonprofits that need to report community service hours to external bodies or accreditation programs.
Assignments
What it is: Members submit completed assignments, homework, projects, or tasks assigned by the organization.
What members submit:
- Assignment details and title
- Completion date
- Description of work completed
- Optional media (photos, documents, files)
Points: The org admin selects a point value from the dropdown when reviewing each submission. Available values: 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 45, or 50 points.
Practice Logs
What it is: Members log practice sessions for sports, music, art, dance, coding, or any skill they are developing through regular practice.
What members submit:
- Practice date
- Duration of the session
- Description of what was practiced
- Optional media (photos, videos, recordings)
Points: The org admin selects a point value from the dropdown when reviewing each submission. Available values: 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 45, or 50 points.
Club Activities
What it is: Members log their participation in club events, meetings, rehearsals, or any group activity organized by a club or cohort within the organization.
What members submit:
- Club or cohort the activity belongs to
- Activity date
- Description of participation
- Optional media (photos, videos)
Points: The org admin selects a point value from the dropdown when reviewing each submission. Available values: 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 45, or 50 points.
Achievements
What it is: Members submit notable accomplishments, awards, competition results, certifications, or milestones they have earned.
What members submit:
- Achievement details and title
- Date of the achievement
- Description and context
- Media or evidence (photos, certificates, award documents)
Points: The org admin selects a point value from the dropdown when reviewing each submission. Available values: 2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 45, or 50 points.
Achievements often deserve higher point values since they represent significant accomplishments. Consider using 30--50 points for major awards, competition wins, or certifications.
Points Reference
Volunteering (Auto-Calculated)
Volunteering points are always calculated automatically at 10 points per hour. The org admin does not select a point value -- it is determined entirely by the number of hours the member logged.
All Other Activity Types (Admin-Selected)
For Assignments, Practice Logs, Club Activities, and Achievements, the org admin chooses the appropriate point value from a dropdown when reviewing each submission:
| Points | Suggested Use |
|---|---|
| 2 | Minor tasks, short activities |
| 5 | Simple assignments, brief participation |
| 10 | Standard activities, regular participation |
| 20 | Above-average effort or quality |
| 30 | Solid work, meeting all expectations |
| 40 | High-quality work, exceeding expectations |
| 45 | Outstanding effort and results |
| 50 | Extraordinary achievement |
Volunteering points are always auto-calculated at 10 points per hour. For all other activity types, the org admin chooses the appropriate point value when reviewing each submission.
