Common Issues & Troubleshooting
This guide covers the most frequently encountered problems with payment profiles on FeatsClub and how to resolve them.
"I Cannot Create Paid Events or Memberships"
If you are unable to set a price or enable paid options when creating an event, membership, or donation campaign, the most likely cause is that you do not have an active payment profile.
How to fix:
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Payments (or Payment Profiles).
- If you see no profiles listed, you need to connect a Stripe account first. See Connecting Stripe for step-by-step instructions.
- If you see a profile but its status shows Pending or Error, the profile is not yet ready to accept payments. Follow the steps in the next section to resolve the status.
- Once a profile shows Active (green badge), you can create paid items.
FeatsClub requires at least one Active payment profile before you can create any paid event, membership, or donation campaign. Free events and items do not require a payment profile.
"My Profile Shows Pending"
A Pending status means Stripe needs additional information or verification before your account can process payments. This is normal, especially for newly connected accounts.
How to fix:
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Payments.
- Find the profile showing Pending.
- Click the "Continue Setup" button on the profile card.
- Stripe will guide you through the remaining steps -- this may include verifying your identity, providing business information, or confirming your bank account.
- Complete all required steps in Stripe.
- Return to FeatsClub and check the profile status.
What Stripe typically asks for:
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Identity verification | Government-issued ID, Social Security Number (last 4 digits), or date of birth |
| Business information | Business name, address, EIN (for registered businesses), or DBA |
| Bank account | Routing number and account number for the account where payouts will be sent |
| Address verification | A valid US address for the account holder |
Check your email for messages from Stripe. They often send verification requests and deadline reminders directly to the email address associated with your Stripe account.
"I Completed Setup but It Still Shows Pending"
If you finished all the Stripe verification steps but your profile still shows Pending on the FeatsClub Payment Profiles page, the status may not have synced yet.
How to fix:
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Payments.
- Click the Refresh button on the Payment Profiles page.
- This forces FeatsClub to re-check your account status with Stripe's servers.
- If the status updates to Active, you are good to go.
- If it remains Pending after refreshing, log into your Stripe dashboard directly to check if there are outstanding requirements you may have missed.
Sometimes Stripe requires additional time to review submitted documents. In most cases, verification completes within 2-3 business days.
"Where Is My Money?"
If you have received payments but do not see the funds in your bank account, here is how to track them down:
Step 1: Check your Stripe dashboard.
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Payments.
- Click "Go to Stripe" on your active profile.
- In the Stripe dashboard, go to the Payouts section.
- Look for your most recent payout and check its status.
Step 2: Understand the payout timeline.
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | The payout is queued and will be sent on the next Monday |
| In Transit | The payout has been initiated -- allow 1-2 business days for your bank to process it |
| Paid | The funds have arrived in your bank account |
| Failed | The payout could not be completed -- check your bank details in Stripe |
Step 3: Remember the timing.
- Payouts are sent weekly on Mondays.
- Bank processing adds 1-2 business days after the payout is initiated.
- First payout for new accounts may take 7-14 days due to Stripe's standard verification period.
If a payout shows Failed, your bank account details may be incorrect or outdated. Log into your Stripe dashboard, go to Settings > Bank accounts and scheduling, and verify that your bank information is correct.
"Can I Use PayPal Instead of Stripe?"
Currently, FeatsClub only supports Stripe for payment processing in USD. Stripe provides a comprehensive payment infrastructure including credit card processing, ACH bank transfers, dispute management, and automated payouts.
Cashfree support for Indian Rupee (INR) payments is coming soon.
If you have a specific requirement for an alternative payment processor, contact FeatsClub support to discuss your needs.
"My Customers See FeatsClub on Their Statement"
What appears on your customer's credit card statement depends on the charge type configured for your account:
| Charge Type | Statement Descriptor |
|---|---|
| Direct Charges (default) | Your organization's name |
| Destination Charges | May show "FeatsClub" or a combined descriptor |
If your customers are seeing "FeatsClub" instead of your organization's name and you are using Direct Charges, you can update your statement descriptor in your Stripe dashboard:
- Log into your Stripe dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Public details.
- Update the Statement descriptor field with your organization's name.
- Save your changes.
If the issue persists, contact FeatsClub support for assistance.
"I Want to Change My Bank Account"
FeatsClub does not manage your bank account details -- Stripe does. To change where your payouts are sent:
- Log into your Stripe dashboard (click "Go to Stripe" on your payment profile in FeatsClub).
- Go to Settings > Bank accounts and scheduling.
- Add your new bank account details.
- Remove the old bank account if it is no longer needed.
- Your next payout will go to the updated bank account.
Changing your bank account in Stripe does not affect your FeatsClub payment profile. Your profile remains Active and continues to work normally.
"Can I Have Multiple Stripe Accounts?"
Yes. FeatsClub allows you to connect multiple Stripe accounts to your organization. This is useful when:
- Different programs or departments use separate bank accounts
- You are transitioning from one Stripe account to another
- You manage multiple entities under one FeatsClub organization
Each connected Stripe account appears as a separate payment profile on your Payment Profiles page. You designate one profile as the default for new paid items, but you can have as many profiles as you need.
See Viewing Your Profiles and Setting Default Profile for details on managing multiple profiles.
"I Accidentally Removed My Payment Profile"
If you removed a payment profile and need it back:
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Payments.
- Click "Connect Stripe" (or "Add Payment Profile").
- You can reconnect the same Stripe account by going through the connection flow again.
- Since your Stripe account already exists and is verified, the process should be faster the second time.
Removing a profile from FeatsClub does not delete the Stripe account itself, so all your historical transactions, payouts, and settings are preserved in Stripe.
