App-Only Features Mobile App
Some event management features are currently available exclusively on the FeatsClub mobile app. This page documents these features so you know what is available and where to find it.
QR Code Scanning for Check-in App Only
Scan attendee QR codes at the venue to check them in. The web dashboard displays check-in logs and counts, but the actual QR scanning functionality requires the mobile app.
How to use:
- Open the FeatsClub app and navigate to your event
- Tap the Check-in / Scan button
- Point your camera at the attendee's QR code
- The app validates the ticket instantly and records the check-in
Web alternative: View check-in logs and counts on the web dashboard under the Check-ins tab in the attendee view. You can also issue offline tickets from the web for walk-in attendees.

Self Check-in App Only
Allow attendees to check themselves in when they arrive at the venue, without needing a staff member to scan their QR code.
How it works:
- The organizer enables the Self Check-in option for the event in the mobile app settings
- Attendees open the FeatsClub app at the venue and check themselves in
- The system validates their ticket and records the check-in
- GPS or proximity verification may be used to confirm the attendee is at the venue
Web alternative: Not available on web. Attendees must use the mobile app for self check-in, or a staff member can verify attendance manually.
Manual Check-in (Without QR Scanning) App Only
Check in attendees manually from the attendee list without scanning a QR code. Useful when an attendee cannot present their QR code.
How to use:
- Open the event in the FeatsClub app
- Go to the attendee list
- Find the attendee by name or email
- Tap to check them in manually
Web alternative: On the web, you can use the Issue Offline Tickets feature to register walk-in attendees and generate new QR codes.
Calendar View on Event Dashboard App Only
View your events on a calendar interface showing events by day, week, or month. This provides a visual timeline of all your scheduled events.
How it works:
- Switch to calendar view from the event dashboard in the app
- Events are displayed on their scheduled dates
- Tap a date to see events on that day
- Color-coded by event type or status
Web alternative: The web dashboard offers Grid and List views with filter tabs. You can filter by status (Active, Past, Archived) to see upcoming and past events, but a calendar visualization is not currently available on web.
Event Reminders App Only
Set reminders to notify attendees before an event starts. Reminders can be configured at different intervals.
Available reminder intervals:
- 15 minutes before
- 30 minutes before
- 1 hour before
- 1 day before
- Custom intervals
How to use:
- Configure reminders when creating or editing an event in the app
- Attendees who have registered receive push notifications at the set intervals
- Reminders are sent through the FeatsClub app notification system
Web alternative: Not available on web. Consider using your own email or messaging tools to send manual reminders to attendees.
AI-Assisted Event Creation App Only
Use AI to help generate event details, descriptions, and suggestions when creating events.
How it works:
- When creating an event in the app, AI assistance helps draft event descriptions
- Suggests improvements to titles and descriptions
- Can generate agenda items based on event type
- Provides content suggestions based on your event category
Web alternative: Not available on web. You can draft event content manually using the web event creation form with all standard fields.
Direct User Invitations App Only
Send event invitations directly to specific users or members of your organization.
How it works:
- Select users from your organization's member list
- Send personalized invitations through the app
- Track invitation status (sent, viewed, responded)
Web alternative: On the web, use the Share Event Link feature to generate a shareable URL or QR code. You can then distribute this link through your own email or messaging channels.
Automatic Refund Processing App Only
Process ticket refunds directly within the app when canceling tickets.
How it works:
- Cancel a ticket from the attendee management screen in the app
- The app initiates the refund through the connected payment processor
- Refund status is tracked within the app
Web alternative: On the web, you can cancel individual tickets, but refunds must be processed manually through your Stripe dashboard. The web records the cancellation, and you handle the refund separately.
Discrete Date Selection App Only
Create events with specific, non-consecutive dates rather than using a recurring pattern. Useful for events that happen on irregular schedules.
How it works:
- Instead of setting a recurrence pattern (daily, weekly, monthly), pick specific individual dates
- Each date is treated as a separate occurrence of the event
- Attendees can see all scheduled dates
Web alternative: On the web, you can create recurring events with standard patterns (daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly). For irregular schedules, consider creating separate events for each date or using the closest recurrence pattern.
