Complimentary Passes
Complimentary passes let you offer a set number of free passes alongside a ticket purchase. When an attendee buys a ticket that has complimentary passes enabled, they receive additional free entries for guests -- no extra payment required.
How Complimentary Passes Work
Each ticket type can be configured to include a specified number of complimentary passes. These passes are issued alongside the purchased ticket and bypass the payment process for the additional guests.
Example: A "VIP Table" ticket priced at $200 includes 3 complimentary passes. When an attendee purchases the VIP Table ticket, they receive their own entry plus 3 additional passes they can distribute to their guests.
Setting Up Complimentary Passes
- Open the ticket you want to configure by selecting its card.
- In the Ticket Options section, find the Complimentary passes toggle.
- Turn it on.
- Enter the Number of free passes per ticket (minimum 1, maximum 12).
- Save the ticket.
The complimentary pass count is per ticket purchased. If an attendee buys 2 tickets that each include 3 complimentary passes, they receive 6 complimentary passes in total.
How They Appear to Attendees
When a ticket has complimentary passes configured:
- The ticket card in your configuration list shows a green +N free badge (e.g., "+3 free").
- Attendees see the complimentary pass information when reviewing the ticket details before purchase.
- After purchase, the complimentary passes are included in the ticket confirmation.

Combine complimentary passes with group registration forms to collect individual details for each guest. Set the forms per ticket value to match the total party size (ticket holder + complimentary guests).
Validation
When setting up complimentary passes, the following rules apply:
- The number of complimentary passes must be at least 1 when the toggle is enabled.
- If you save the ticket with the toggle on but no number entered, a validation error will appear.
- Turning the toggle off removes the complimentary pass setting entirely.
