Coupons
Coupons let attendees enter discount codes at checkout to receive a reduced price or free access to a ticket. Each ticket type can be independently configured to accept or reject coupon codes.
Enabling Coupons for a Ticket
The Accept coupons toggle in the ticket edit panel controls whether a specific ticket type accepts coupon codes at checkout.
- Open the ticket you want to configure by selecting its card.
- In the Ticket Options section, find the Accept coupons toggle.
- Turn it on to allow coupon codes, or turn it off to reject them for this ticket type.
- Save the ticket.
By default, the Accept coupons toggle is turned on for new tickets. If you do not want a particular ticket type to be eligible for discounts, you must explicitly turn it off.
How Coupons Work for Attendees
When a ticket type accepts coupons and a valid coupon code exists:
- The attendee selects the ticket and proceeds to checkout.
- A coupon code input field is available at checkout.
- The attendee enters the code and the discount is applied to the ticket price.
- The attendee completes the purchase at the discounted price.
If the attendee enters an invalid or expired code, an error message is shown and the original price remains.
Creating and Managing Coupon Codes
Coupon codes are created and managed separately from the ticket configuration. The ticket-level toggle only controls whether a particular ticket type accepts coupons -- the actual coupon codes, their discount amounts, and their validity are managed through your organization's coupon management settings.
Coupon code creation and management is available through the FeatsClub mobile app and organization settings. See your organization's payment and promotions settings for details on creating coupon codes.
Common Use Cases
| Scenario | Configuration |
|---|---|
| Promo code for all tickets | Leave Accept coupons on for all ticket types |
| No discounts on VIP | Turn Accept coupons off for the VIP ticket, leave it on for General Admission |
| Sponsor giveaway | Create a coupon for 100% off and share it with the sponsor's invitees |
| Partner discount | Create a percentage-off coupon and share the code with partner organizations |
Coupons and Member-Only Tickets
Coupons and member restrictions work independently. A ticket can be both member-only and coupon-eligible:
- Only members can see the ticket.
- Among those members, those with a valid coupon code can apply a discount.
Similarly, a member-only ticket with coupons disabled means members pay the full price with no discount option.
If you want to offer a discount to a specific group of attendees without making the ticket member-only, create a coupon code and share it only with that group. This gives you targeted discounting without restricting visibility.
