Member-Only Tickets
FeatsClub lets you reward your organization's members with exclusive ticket access and free entry to events. There are two related features: restricting individual ticket types to members only, and granting all paid members free access to the entire event.
Restricting a Ticket to Members Only
The Members only toggle on each ticket type restricts that ticket so that only your organization's active members can see and purchase it. Non-members will not see the ticket at all when browsing the event.
How to set up a member-only ticket
- Open the ticket you want to restrict by selecting its card.
- In the Ticket Options section, find the Members only toggle.
- Turn it on. A purple Members Only badge appears on the ticket card.
- Save the ticket.
How it works for attendees
- Members see the ticket and can purchase it normally.
- Non-members do not see the member-only ticket in the ticket list. They only see tickets that are not restricted.
- If all tickets for an event are set to members only, non-members will see no available tickets.
Membership status is checked against your organization's active membership records in FeatsClub. Only members with a current, active membership qualify.
Common use cases
| Scenario | Configuration |
|---|---|
| Member discount | Create two tickets: "General - $50" (unrestricted) and "Member Price - $30" (members only) |
| Early access for members | Create a member-only ticket with an earlier validity window, and a general ticket with a later validity window |
| Exclusive event | Set all tickets to members only so only your members can register |
Free Access for Paid Members
The Free access to Paid members toggle is an event-level setting at the top of the ticket configuration page. When enabled, members with a paid membership can check in at the event without purchasing a ticket.
How to enable free member access
- On the ticket configuration page, find the Free access to Paid members toggle near the top.
- Turn it on.
How it works
- Members with a paid membership can check in at the event desk using their membership ID.
- They do not need to purchase a ticket.
- This is a check-in-only feature -- it bypasses the ticket purchase flow entirely.
- The check-in is done through the FeatsClub mobile app at the event venue.
This feature is designed for organizations that include event access as part of their membership benefits. For example, a sports club might include access to all regular practice sessions as a membership perk.
Important distinctions
| Feature | Members Only Ticket | Free Access for Paid Members |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Per ticket type | Entire event |
| How it works | Members purchase the ticket (at any price you set) | Members skip the ticket purchase entirely |
| Ticket issued | Yes, a regular ticket | No ticket is issued; check-in only |
| Non-member impact | They cannot see this ticket type | They can still purchase tickets normally |
You can use both features together. For example, enable free access for paid members so they can walk in at the door, while also offering member-only discounted tickets for those who want to reserve a specific seat or tier in advance.
Badges on Ticket Cards
When a ticket is set to members only, a purple Members Only badge appears on the ticket card in your configuration list. This lets you quickly identify which tickets have membership restrictions.
